A jazz guitarist from Sardinia reached out to me recently. When he heard that I still had a small, vintage stock of Galalith (Casein), he didn’t hesitate—he decided to take it all.
This material is a legend in the acoustic world. Often called „the ethical tortoiseshell,” it is prized for its incredible warmth and organic response. Looking at these pieces, you can see why. The way the light plays through the amber and smoky patterns is something no modern plastic can truly replicate. 🍯✨
What you see here is the very last of my supply. Each of these 8 Jazz picks was carved from the final scraps I had in my workshop.
The milky textures, the deep swirls, and that unmistakable „clink” when they touch... it’s a material that feels like it belongs to a different time. I’m happy they are going to a musician who will use them to bring beautiful jazz melodies to life under the Sardinian sun. ☀️🏝️
