Handmade guitar pick made of durable material. Three types of premium plastic to choose from: Torlon, PEEK and Ultem. Guarantees a very good grip thanks to the drilled hole in the center with a white fluorescent dot. A very comfortable and good sounding gift for a guitarist.

Specifications

  • Shape: Button Jazz
  • Dimensions: Length: 30mm, Width: 25mm

Handcrafted pick (sawn, carved, shaped and polished) using only workshop power tools.

Why Non-Standard Thickness?

The large thickness minimizes movement, increases precision, strength and speed. Playing the guitar requires less effort, which is a relief for the player. As a result, the player will have fewer muscle cramps and tensions, and more comfortable playing.

Material Characteristics

1. PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)

Recognized as one of the most versatile and efficient materials on the market.

  • Hardness: high (similar to hard metal)
  • Abrasion resistance: close to Torlon but still lower
  • Stiffness: extreme – virtually zero deflection
  • Chemical resistance: unsaturated – sweat resistant

Sound: Attack – aggressive and fast with a metallic "ping" in the high notes. Timbre – bright, clear with excellent sound separation.

2. ULTEM (Polyetherimide, PEI)

  • Hardness: medium (between nylon and PEEK)
  • Abrasion resistance: good, but lower than PEEK
  • Elasticity: moderate, slightly elastic

Sound: Attack – balanced, clear but not exaggerated in high tones. Timbre – neutral, with a slight boost of mid-tones – universal.

3. Torlon – For Perfectionists

Torlon is an icon among premium materials – not for everyone, but in the hands of the right guitarist it becomes an irreplaceable tool.

  • Material: Ultra-durable thermoplastic from the polyamide-imide (PAI) group
  • Thermal resistance: Withstands temperatures above 270°C
  • Mechanical strength: The highest among thermoplastics – resistant to abrasion, cracking, impacts and creep
  • Stiffness: High, with moderate vibration absorption – reduces the "metallic" aftertaste of sound
  • Density: Low (approx. 1.4 g/cm³) – lightweight despite thicker size

Sound: Warm, organic tone with emphasized midrange and deep bass. Attack – precise, less "glassy" than PEEK – more muffled but clear. More "musical" dynamic response – ideal for blues and jazz.

Durability: Virtually indestructible – lasts for years even during intensive play. Does not deform under pressure, moisture or time. Minimizes string wear thanks to smooth surface and low friction.
