The plectrum is non-standard thickness for a reason. Namely, a large thickness minimizes movement, increases precision, strength and speed. Therefore playing the guitar requires less effort, which is a relief for the player. As a result, the player will have fewer muscle cramps and tensions, and more comfortable playing.

UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene)

Strength properties

• Hardness: low to medium (depending on thickness)
• Abrasion resistance: the highest of all materials - 15x more than steel
• Flexibility: high (soft feel but no loss of control)
• Friction coefficient: very low - smooth passage over the strings

Sound characteristics

• Attack: soft with smooth highs
• Timbre: warm, “round” with dominance of low and medium frequencies
