Layered Plectrum Properties

Durability:

• Ultem outer layers protect the core from impacts
• PEEK core provides rigidity, preventing the plectrum from bending
• Combined effect: comfort without sacrificing precision

Sound:

• Attack: soft start (Ultem) with a dynamic "push" from the PEEK core
• Timbre: highs muffled by Ultem but slightly boosted by PEEK; smooth and balanced mids; warm low tones with a clear foundation
• Best for: blues, alternative rock, chord playing — wherever fluidity is important

Ergonomics:

• Ultem's soft grip reduces slippage, even with sweaty fingers
• PEEK core keeps strings in control, preventing sound from "smearing"

• Hardness: medium (between nylon and PEEK)
• Abrasion resistance: good
• Elasticity: moderate, slightly elastic
• Attack: balanced — clear but not exaggerated in high tones
• Timbre: neutral, with a slight boost of mid-tones — universal
