Thickness

Very comfortable, light and durable handmade modern guitar pick made of high quality PEEK & Torlon with drilled holes and glow-in-the-dark material in the front part near the tip. Thanks to the drilled holes on the entire surface, it was possible to reduce the weight to a minimum, making this plectrum one of the lightest in its overall size class.

Specifications

  • Shape: Teardrop
  • Dimensions: Length: 36mm, Width: 27mm

Handcrafted (sawn, drilled, carved, shaped and polished) using only workshop power tools.

Why Non-Standard Thickness?

The large thickness minimizes movement, increases precision, strength and speed. Playing the guitar requires less effort, which is a relief for the player. As a result, the player will have fewer muscle cramps and tensions, and more comfortable playing.

Torlon – For Perfectionists

Torlon is a material for perfectionists who are looking for:

  • Indestructible durability – a plectrum "for life"
  • Warm, balanced sound with an emphasis on midrange and bass
  • Precise control in technically demanding genres (progressive metal, fusion, jazz)

Basic Properties of Torlon

  • Material: Ultra-durable thermoplastic from the polyamide-imide (PAI) group
  • Thermal resistance: Withstands temperatures above 270°C
  • Mechanical strength: The highest among thermoplastics – resistant to abrasion, cracking, impacts and creep
  • Stiffness: High, with moderate vibration absorption – reduces the "metallic" aftertaste of sound
  • Density: Low (approx. 1.4 g/cm³) – lightweight despite thicker size

Torlon Sound

  • Timbre: Warm, organic tone with emphasized midrange and deep bass
  • Attack: Precise, less "glassy" than PEEK – more muffled but clear
  • Dynamic response: More "musical" – ideal for blues and jazz expression

Torlon Durability

  • Virtually indestructible – lasts for years even during intensive play
  • Does not deform under pressure, moisture or time
  • Minimizes string wear thanks to smooth surface and low friction

PEEK (Polyetheretherketone)

Recognized as one of the most versatile and efficient materials on the market.

Strength Properties

  • Hardness: high (similar to hard metal)
  • Abrasion resistance: close to Torlon but still lower
  • Stiffness: extreme – virtually zero deflection
  • Chemical resistance: unsaturated – sweat resistant

PEEK Sound

  • Attack: aggressive and fast with a metallic "ping" in the high notes
  • Sound: bright, clear with excellent sound separation

Example use: shredding, technical metal – where speed and legibility of notes are important.
