• Abrasion resistance: close to Torlon
• Stiffness: extreme — virtually zero deflection
• Chemical resistance: sweat resistant
• Attack: aggressive and fast with a metallic “ping” in the high notes
• Timbre: bright, clear with excellent note separation
• Best for: shredding, technical metal — where speed and legibility of notes are essential

UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene):

• Exceptional abrasion resistance (15x more than steel), low coefficient of friction
• Good vibration absorption — adds elasticity and dampens high frequencies
• Warmer, more balanced tone with enriched midrange and bass
• Smooth string glide for fast strumming and fluid transitions
• Best for: blues, alternative rock, chord playing, acoustic arpeggios
