Handcrafted — sawn, carved, shaped and polished using workshop power tools.

The non-standard thickness minimizes movement, increases precision, strength and speed. Playing requires less effort, reducing muscle cramps and tension for more comfortable long sessions.

Layered Construction Properties

1. Durability:

  • Ultem (outer layers) protects the core from impacts
  • PEEK or UHMWPE core provides rigidity and durability tailored to your playing style
  • Combined effect: a plectrum for those who value comfort without giving up precision

2. Sound:

  • Ultem + PEEK: soft start with dynamic "push" from the core; highs softened by Ultem, slightly boosted by PEEK; smooth mids, warm bass. Best for: blues, alternative rock, chord playing.
  • Ultem + UHMWPE: warmer and rounder tone; UHMWPE absorbs more vibration for a softer, more organic feel with enriched midrange. Best for: funk, acoustic, expressive chord work.

3. Ergonomics:

  • Ultem's soft grip reduces slippage, even with sweaty fingers
  • Core material keeps strings in control, preventing sound from "smearing"

Material Properties

PEEK (Polyetheretherketone):

  • Hardness: high (similar to hard metal)
  • Stiffness: extreme — virtually zero deflection
  • Chemical resistance: sweat resistant
  • Attack: aggressive and fast with a metallic "ping" in high notes
  • Timbre: bright, clear with excellent note separation

UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene):

  • Exceptional abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction
  • Good vibration absorption — adds elasticity and warmth
  • Dampens high frequencies for a rounder, more organic tone
  • Smooth string glide — ideal for fast strumming and fluid transitions

Ultem (Polyetherimide, PEI):

  • Hardness: medium (between nylon and PEEK)
  • Abrasion resistance: good, lower than PEEK
  • Elasticity: moderate, slightly elastic
  • Attack: balanced — clear but not exaggerated in high tones
  • Timbre: neutral with a slight boost of mid-tones — universal
